Lake Mburo Community Guides Association is a pioneering project to directly link people to the benefits of living alongside wildlife.
With just as much wildlife, if not more, living beyond the parks borders, there is high tourism potential. Nature and cultural walks, day and night game drives, are all activities which can be conducted outside the national park on private and government ranch land.
The LMCGA acts as the body responsible for these activities. Training guides within the community, conducting tourism activities and ensuring a fair portion of revenue is invested back in to the human community.
